Our Staff

John is manager of our Treasure Coast Care Center. He is a Florida native, raised in the business and worked with his father, Roger L. Byrd Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie FL for 32 yrs. He received his degree from Miami Dade Community College in Mortuary Arts & Funeral Science. John, along with his wife Vickia, enjoys family, hiking & adventures in the mountains.

Susan R. Niemi, is a native of Massachusetts and has lived in Florida since 1990. She received her mortuary science degree from St. Petersburg’s Junior College. Susan joined our company in 1999 and is currently our location manager. She has 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jim moved to FL in 1989. He has been a funeral director since 1969 both in FL & NY. He joined Forest Hills in 1998, is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, PSL Elks Lodge and past member of the Rotary Club. Jim served as a cantor at Catholic Churches and sang in the chorus of The Treasure Coast Opera Society. Jim and his wife Karen, a Forest Hills pre-need counselor, have 6 children, 13 grandchildren.

Gerald “Jerry” Perlick has been a funeral director in Florida for 30 yrs. As a young child he moved to Venice, FL from Wisconsin and considers himself a Florida native. He attended Miami Dade Comm. College School of Mortuary Sciences & has worked for our company for 24 years. Jerry & his wife Diane, married for 34 years, have 2 daughters & 3 grandchildren. His favorite activities are spending time with family, traveling & camping.
